Bringing the yearning for
western films to reality
The current structure used to belong to the town and there were
discussions over whether or not to demolish it. This structure was constructed
by an American building engineer and is made in the American brick building
style. This is the only structure constructed using the aforementioned style in
Japan. It was built in the 1950s and was exactly what I wanted. Since it would
have been a waste, I decided to rent it. And because I did not think that I
could ever own my own farm, I felt that I was very lucky. That was the moment
when my distant yearning for western films, which I used to watch on TV when I
was a child, became a reality.
I was born in Shintoku, Hokkaido, and worked
in Tokyo when I was younger. I donft want to return to Tokyo because nature
brings excitement to my life every day in Hokkaido.
This is the entrance to the Western
atmosphere.
I currently live with my wife
Chiko, 14 horses, Woofer and two other people who came here out of adoration for
living here in Hokkaido.
Guests come to enjoy the western atmosphere together with horses in nature.
This is the entrance to the western world and all of our visitors are cowboys.
It is my hope that visitors will enjoy the delicious dishes cooked by my
wife Chiko and have fun amidst magnificent nature.
I also want those who love nature, outdoor activities and fishing to
come and visit us. We will introduce them to masters of outdoor activities and
fishing. It is also possible to eat the fish that you catch for dinner. It would
be wonderful if we could all enjoy nature together and teach each other how to
enjoy it even more!
Jack Road - A grandiose horse trail plan
@My dream is to create a course that makes a round
of Taisetsuzan or the Mountain Horse Camp. In places without trails passable by
horses, I plan to open the way together with horses by going across valleys and
mountains as well as finding places for camping and drinking water. When
completed, it will be a 20-day course. However, I have no idea when this dream
will become a reality. When the paths are opened and the horse trails are
completed, anyone can visit us anytime. This is my dream.
